VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH VITA
Helping low-income families prepare their tax returns through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a rewarding way to give back to your community. During the 2024 tax season 138 VITA volunteers contributed over 7,500 hours of their time to prepare over 4,900 tax returns. Their efforts resulted in more than $5.6 Million in refunds to the members of our communities who needed it the most.
Serving the Entire East Valley
The AZURA VITA program provides services throughout the East Valley. Starting in tax year 2019 we took over management of the City of Chandler VITA program. This was an important step in furthering the coordination of these two VITA programs so that we can better serve all residents of the East Valley. This past season we had 15 sites open throughout the East Valley.
Volunteer opportunities
We’re now recruiting volunteers for the 2025 tax season (tax year 2024) that begins late January 2025. No experience is necessary, just the spirit of volunteerism! We will train you.
