INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer reading mentors read with elementary students online one-on-one, helping them practice their reading skills and develop a love of reading!
Time Commitment: 1 hour per week for 12 weeks
Days of the Week: Varies – usually Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays during the school year; varying times in the summer.
Location: Virtual
Special Requirements:
– Necessary equipment: desktop or laptop computer and internet connection
– Pass a background check and fingerprint clearance
– Attend a 1-hour training via Zoom

Volunteers help run our free book fairs at Title I schools in Mesa. This includes setting up book displays and helping students choose books. This is a great group volunteer opportunity.
Time Commitment: 4 hours
Days of the Week: Weekdays in the morning – usually 8am-12pm – during April and May
Location: Title I schools in Mesa

Volunteers help pack bags for our book distribution events. This is a great group volunteer opportunity.
Time Commitment: 2 hours
Days of the Week: Flexible, evenings and weekend days are possible
